New treatments at Fremont Therapy Group help cancer survivors and those struggling with lymphedema


Fremont Therapy Group is proud to announce Kati Quayle is now a Certified Lymphedema Therapist. Kati completed an intensive eight-day course at The Academy of Lymphatic Studies in Chattanooga Tennessee followed by a comprehensive examination to achieve her national certification.

There is no cure for lymphedema but treatments with Kati can reduce swelling and maintain the reduction, helping the patient improve their quality of life.

Fremont Therapy Group is now offering dry needling for pain treatment

Three of Fremont Therapy Group’s physical therapists have recently started using dry needling to help with myofascial trigger point pain, or pain coming from the muscles and connective tissues. The physical therapists are using “dry” needles, without medication or injection, to release the trigger points.

Courtney Hansen, MPT, Justin Willis, PT, DPT, ATC and Myriah Warren, PT, DPT are using the skill of dry needling to relieve pain or improve their patients range of motion.  http://bit.ly/2gbfd2e






FTG “steps it up” for National Physical Therapy Month

This month, Fremont Therapy Group is competing to see which of its 4 clinics can get the most steps. The FTG Step Challenge started as a way to promote a healthy lifestyle.

“I was surprised to find out how many people are already counting their steps and working on goals in this area,” exclaimed Nate Tanner, PT, DPT in the Rawlins clinic. “This is one area that I think technology has really helped us to be more active.”

LVHS partners with Fremont Therapy Group to add Athletic Training Services for 2016-2017 school year

Fremont County School District #1 has recently taken a major step to further ensure the safety of its high school athletes. The Lander Valley High School Principal, Brad Neuendorf, announced a partnership with Fremont Therapy Group to provide a certified athletic trainer to the athletic program for the 2016-2017 school year.

Fremont Therapy Expands and Enhances Therapy Services for Fremont County’s Special Needs Children.

Fremont Therapy Group is proud to announce their new outpatient, pediatric physical and occupational therapy program. 

Occupational therapist, Lisa Rhyne, OTR/L, will spearhead the program and is excited about the benefits her “therapy through play” methods can offer the children and families of Fremont County. Lisa has been a practicing occupational therapist since 2001, and has a broad background in pediatrics, with advanced training in sensory processing disorders, autism spectrum disorders, developmental delays, and a variety of other pediatric conditions.  She is a trained Integrated Listening System (iLs) practitioner.http://county10.com/178236779030118400

Lander Community Foundation awards 17 organizations with $15k in grants

For the last four years, the Lander Community Foundation has provided grants to numerous community organizations, and this year’s awards were the most given out to date. This year the LCF awarded $15,000 to 17 organizations at brief ceremony at the Lander Care & Share Food Bank. This is an increase of $7,000 over 2014. Out of 23 applicants, chosen organizations demonstrated a compelling need and the capacity to achieve their project, the LCF states. ...These funds were largely provided by the Challenge for Charities Community Challengers whose generous donations sponsored the matching fund pool and the Open Grant program. This Saturday morning, join Fremont County residents in the first annual Go Fremont County Parade Day 5K, Cycle or Swim in Riverton. Each event starts at the same time, however, participants can form a team to compete in all three events for best overall times. Instead of a sprint triathlon, the individual events include a 5k run or walk, a 25-mile bike ride and a 606-yard swim.
