We depend on our hands and upper extremities (wrist, forearm, elbow, and shoulder) for everyday function. Loss of function from an orthopedic injury, accident, or cumulative trauma can be devastating. Certified Hand Therapists are also trained to address the social, emotional, and physiological effects of these injuries/conditions.
