Our Clinic

The Riverton clinic is a 7,000 square foot facility with a heated therapy pool, 5 private treatment rooms and a large gym facility with state-of-the art therapy equipment.  Our therapy pool is maintained at a comfortable 94 degrees and includes an underwater treadmill.

Mitch Johnson

Mitch Johnson,
Clinic Director/Owner

Mitch has been with Fremont Therapy Group, LLC since May 2007, and sees patients in the Lander and Riverton clinics.  He has more than a decade of clinical experience in orthopedic physical therapy, and has a special interest in working with patients whose upper extremities have been affected by an accident, trauma, or disease. In 2011, Mitch earned his Certified Hand Therapy certification by the nationally recognized Hand Therapy Certification Commission.  As a Certified Hand Therapist (CHT), he specializes in treatment of the upper extremity and has achieved the highest level of competency in the profession.  Through continual education and training, Mitch remains knowledgeable about preventive care, current surgical techniques, post-surgery therapy programs, and fabrication of custom splints. 

Mitch holds a Master of Physical Therapy degree from the University of Utah and his Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science degree from Brigham Young University.

Mitch married Lander native, Jillyn Johnstone in 2005. They live in Lander with their three beautiful daughters and love exploring Sinks Canyon and serving the community through their church.

Whittney Gomendi-Smith

Whittney Gomendi-Smith,

Whittney was inspired to pursue a career in physical therapy because it combined her two biggest passions in life: sports and helping others reach their potential. Whittney’s skill, dedication, and compassion inspire her patients to meet their personal goals and get back to life’s activities following surgery or an injury. She enjoys working in diverse areas of physical therapy and has special interests in sports medicine, manual therapy, and women’s health. Whittney also has advanced training in dry needling as an additional tool to help her patients regain function.

Whittney earned her doctorate in Physical Therapy from the University of North Dakota. She also studied at the University of Wyoming, played volleyball at Central Wyoming College and is a Wind River High School graduate.

Whittney enjoys being active outside of her work and loves to travel and spend time with her family.

Kati Quayle

Kati Quayle,

Kati pursued a career in physical therapy to fulfill her love for helping people return to doing the things they love most and live life to the fullest. She strongly believes in developing personalized treatment plans that put her patients first and make their goals a priority. Kati was born and raised in Riverton, and enjoys working in our diverse rural community because it allows her to utilize and enhance all aspects of her physical therapy skills. Kati has special interest in a variety of specialty skills, including dry needling, lymphedema management, sports rehabilitation and geriatric therapy. 

Kati received her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from the University of Utah and her Bachelor of Science degree in Health Science Studies from Boise State University. She played volleyball, basketball, and soccer at Riverton High School and continued her basketball career at Western Wyoming College.

Kati continues to be active in sports, and enjoys running, hiking, and the outdoors. She is passionate about traveling and loves to spend time with her family and friends.

Katelin Tucker

Katelin Tucker,
– PT, DPT, Cert. MDT

Beginning her career at a large Minneapolis healthcare system, Katelin brings vast patient care experience to FTG. She enjoys treating various patient conditions, with a special interest in spine related issues and rehabilitating athletes. Katelin was an active highschool athlete with her share of injuries--this passion for sports is what ultimately led her to a career in physical therapy. 

Katelin received her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from the University of North Dakota. Most recently, Katelin earned certification in Mechanical Diagnosis and Therapy (MDT), aka the McKenzie Method. MDT is one of the most commonly used treatment approaches around the world. MDT is a reliable and well-researched assessment for all musculoskeletal issues (back, neck, extremities as well as related issues).This exercise-based treatment approach, focuses on specific exercises to treat the areas of patient pain. She has seen significant improvement in outcomes with patients since she began using the MDT approach.

Katelin was born and raised in Minneapolis, MN and relocated to Wyoming upon marriage. Outside of the clinic, she enjoys spending time with her husband and their three dogs, two horses, and pack burrows.  They find joy in traveling, canoeing at her family cabin in Minnesota, hiking, and outdoor activities. 

Daniel Smith

Daniel Smith,

Daniel brings enthusiasm and diverse experience to his role as physical therapist. He believes in using a patient centered, educational approach to help promote wellness and recovery in patients. Daniel has expanded his education in the areas of concussion/post concussion syndrome, vestibular, cardiopulmonary rehab and pain management. Daniel takes pride in building relationships with patients to help them understand the underlying causes of their pain or limitations and developing treatments that lead to recovery. His goal is to serve as a reliable resource for patients beyond treatment in the clinic and continually provide information to help them get the most fulfillment out of life. 

Daniel began his college career by earning his B.S.B in Economics from DePaul University in Chicago. From there he focused on the goal of physical therapy as a career, ultimately earning his Doctor of Physical Therapy from Northern Arizona University. 

By way of Seattle, Boise, and Flagstaff, Daniel is thrilled to be in Wyoming where he can continue to explore the mountain west landscape. When he is not helping patients, you will find Daniel rock climbing, backpacking, and shooting photography. 

Susanna Motley

Susanna Motley,

Susie utilizes her diverse background to treat all types of cases using patient centered care techniques that are backed by research. She has experience and interest in neurological cases, manual therapy, and geriatric PT. Susie loves the concept that physical therapists treat the whole person and use exercise and movement as medicine. 

Working in a PT clinic for 2 years as a physical therapy tech, inspired Susie to pursue physical therapy as a career. Through this experience, she was able to see first hand how much of a difference PT can make in peoples’ lives. Susie graduated from Lynchburg College in Virginia with a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Sciences, and after gaining experience in the PT field, earned her doctorate of Physical Therapy from the University of Lynchburg. Susie remains passionate about education and plans to continue to broaden her skillset to offer patients the best care possible. 

A native of Virginia, Susie and her husband have embraced the Wyoming mountain landscape. Along with their rescue pup, they love to hike and find new adventures, along with spending time with family and friends, working out, and cooking. 

Todd Comstock

Todd Comstock,

Todd has more than twenty years of experience  working with patients of all ages across a broad spectrum of clinical environments. He  particularly enjoys orthopedics and has advanced  training in orthopedic manual therapy. Todd is certified in Functional Capacity Evaluations (CFCE), so he is particularly attuned to helping patients re-enter the workforce following a variety of injuries. He is also a Certified Wound Specialist (CWS) and helps our surgical patients heal quickly and effectively. 

Todd works in each clinic as our industrial medicine specialist, using his vast  experience in this area to collaborate with physicians, employers, and workers’ case managers to ensure that employers and injured workers get the resources and care they need to keep the workplace safe. He also assists employers with their health and safety programs to prevent injuries using ergonomic assessments, as well as pre-employment, and return to work physical demand testing. 

Todd earned his Bachelor of Arts in Kinesiology from CU Boulder and his Physical Therapist Assistant degree from Central Wyoming College. 

Todd originally hails from Rapid City, South Dakota; now he, his wife, Kari, and their three children, Emma, Grace, and Ollie, reside in Lander. When he isn’t working, he can be found enjoying time with his family, fly-fishing, skiing, and hiking.

Rachael Medow

Rachael Medow,
Physical Therapy Assistant

As a Physical Therapist Assistant, Rachael works alongside our Physical Therapists to treat various types of orthopedic cases utilizing therapeutic exercise and manual therapies. She counts neuromuscular pathologies, working with athletes for return to sport, GMI and its use for chronic pain, aquatic therapy, and creating a fun environment for patients as her areas of interest.  

Rachael earned a Bachelor of Science in Secondary Education, however after working as a physical therapy technician, found her true passion for PT. She recently completed her Physical Therapy Assistant degree from Laramie County Community College. She truly enjoys helping people and loves watching them achieve their goals. In her PTA career, Rachael thrives in meeting many different people, hearing their stories, and building connections with her patients. 

A Riverton native, Rachael spends her free time lifting weights, watching all types of athletic events, and walking her rescue dog, Theo. She also has competed in bodybuilding shows and is certified in Aerial Yoga.

Cassey Lynn

Cassey Lynn,
Physician Liaison and Physical Therapy Technician

Cassey Lynn spends both her time in the Riverton clinic as a Physical Therapy Technician and in the community as FTG's Physician Liaison. Patients love her kind manner as she assists with their prescribed care. In the clinic you will find Cassey helping patients with their rehabilitation, ensuring their time is comfortable and productive. She also takes pride in maintaining clinic supplies and equipment. Her newest role as Physician Liaison has her visiting all of FTG's locations as well as networking with local clinics in each community. Cassey enjoys helping collaborate with both the PTs and Physicians to help patient care be seamless and effective. 

Cassey was born and raised in Hendersonville, TN. She earned her Bachelor Degree of Exercise Physiology from East Tennessee State University and has 7 years experience as a Physical Therapy Technician. She is certified by RockTape in Functional Movement Tape for both performance and basic function.

She and her husband Henry have lived in Riverton for 3 years now. They enjoy kayaking, playing with their Australian Shepherd, Newt, improving their 1st home, gardening, and participating in community events. 

Jorden James

Jorden James,
Physical Therapy Technician

Jorden takes pride in personalized patient care in his role as Physical Therapy Technician. He works closely with the physical therapists to help each patient feel comfortable and attended to during treatment. Jorden has a passion for helping others improve their quality of life without pain or functional limitations. His goal is to help everyone understand the benefits of a healthy and active lifestyle and get the most benefit out of their physical therapy experience. 

Jorden is currently a senior at the University of Wyoming, studying to earn his Bachelor of Kinesiology. He has extensive experience with exercise physiology labs, including body composition testing, power testing and researching the metabolic effects of exercise. Jorden enjoys helping rehabilitate injuries and taking that recovery even further to help strengthen the body to prevent future injuries. 

A Riverton native, Jorden spends his free time in fishing, hiking, and hunting. With a passion for athletics, Jorden also referees basketball during the winter months and enjoys seeing the athletes improve their skills throughout the season. 

Jamie Boyle

Jamie Boyle,
Physical Therapy Technician

Jamie takes pride in helping each patient have the best experience at physical therapy in her PTT role. A true team player, she strives to contribute to her team by jumping in wherever help is needed.Jamie takes the lead in supporting our physical therapists so they are able to provide each patient one on one care, in addition to making certain the clinic is in top running order. 

As a long time PT patient, Jamie is acutely aware of the rewards and challenges of PT. She thrives in the industry of service and makes the clinic a healing environment each step of the way. Jamie believes in helping patients through every step of their physical therapy journey--good days and bad. 

A native of Wyoming, Jamie loves spending time at the lake boating, camping, and jet skiing. Her grandchildren are a big part of her life and they enjoy many adventures together. 

Kelly Stowell

Kelly Stowell,
Physical Therapy Technician

As a Physical Therapy Technician, Kelly is an integral part of the clinic team. She supports the physical therapists in securing needed supplies to help with patient treatments, and strives to make each patient feel comfortable and part of the clinic family. Helping others live a pain free, happier life brings Kelly pride in her work. 

After personally spending years in PT treatment and seeing how it improved her life, this inspired Kelly to do the same for others. Throughout her high school career, she worked alongside the Riverton High School Athletic Training team as a student trainer. Now as a college student, Kelly plans to pursue a career in physical therapy. 

Outside of school and work, Kelly enjoys spending time with her family and friends, hunting, hiking, traveling, and really anything outdoors. Kelly also raises cats, dogs, horses, pigs, steers, and chickens. 

Darce Watson

Darce Watson,
Patient Care Coordinator

Darce is the administrative lead for the Riverton office. She is a people-person, and enjoys greeting patients and guests as they come through the door. Her kindness and humor are a favorite of patients and co-workers. Darce ensures patients are taken care of from their first appointment to their last. 

Darce brings over a decade of experience working in the office and public service settings. Her organizational and interpersonal skills help keep the clinic in smooth working order. 

Darce and her husband Dan, both Riverton natives, raised their three children, Derek, Tyler and Taren in the community, and they continue to enjoy a growing number of grandchildren in the area.  Darce thrives in the outdoors, including four-wheeling and water sports, especially when it involves extended family.
