Fremont Therapy Group and Rocky Mountain Sports & Physical Therapy have joined in a merger. Rocky Mountain is a well-respected outpatient physical therapy clinic that has been serving the Rock Springs area under the direction of Michelle Cook since 2000.
Michelle enjoys the clinical aspect of being a physical therapist and, while she is proud to have founded Rocky Mountain nearly 17 years ago, she has a deep desire to focus primarily in the clinical realm. Along with Michelle and Clinic Director Justin Willis, Rocky Mountain has a strong core staff that will continue to provide the same high level of care that both FTG and Rocky Mountain are known for. Every member of the Rocky Mountain team comes with great knowledge, skills and abilities that will only add to ours, so we look forward to growing with them.
The Rock Springs team offers a skilled range of evidence based treatments, including pre and post operative care, general orthopedics, sports rehabilitation, dry needling, women's health, vestibular and balance issues, pain treatment, and aquatic therapy.

The Rock Springs Clinic features a spacious gym area with cutting edge equipment, four private treatment rooms, heated therapy pool with underwater treadmill and underwater video movement analysis.
Michelle E. Cook, – PT, WCC Owner
Michelle is the founder and partial owner of Rocky Mountain Sports & Physical Therapy, LLC and has built a well respected practice based on individual patient care. Michelle has worked in Rock Springs for over 30 years, 17 years in private practice. She holds credentials in wound care from the Wound Care Education Institute as well as extensive training in women's health issues including incontinence and osteoporosis. Michelle also has training in SFMA and FMS and is certified in Functional Dry Needling through Kinetacore and LearnIMS.
Michelle graduated from the University of Utah Master of Physical Therapy Program and is currently working toward her Doctorate of Physical Therapy.
Michelle and her husband, Stan, have three grown children: Chris, Ryan, and Megan. Outside of work she enjoys hiking with her two dogs, snow shoeing, cross country skiing and tennis.
Justin Willis, – PT, DPT, ATC, CMTPT, TPS Clinic Director
Justin is the Clinic Director of the Rock Springs team. He has always had an interest in the human body's incredible ability to function and adapt in varied conditions. This fascination with anatomy combined with a love of exercise and athletic activity, inspired Justin to pursue a career in physical therapy. One of Justin’s favorite parts of physical therapy is the wide range of injuries and cases that he gets to see, but he has a particular interest in manual therapy, treatment of the spine, pain science, and sports medicine. Justin strives to create a personalized, research driven plan of care for each patient. His aim is to make sure each plan meets each individual’s needs and personal goals. Justin also holds advanced certification in dry needling.
Justin earned his Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Idaho State University, and his Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training from Brigham Young University. Expanding on his DPT, Justin has completed the esteemed Therapeutic Pain Specialist certification (TPS) through Evidence in Motion and International Spine & Pain Institute with Purdue University. TPS is the highest clinical competency of evaluation and treatment of pain that a practitioner can earn. Justin uses these valuable Pain Neuroscience Education skills to help patients conquer pain and teach therapeutic strategies to take control of their discomfort.
Outside of treating patients, Justin enjoys spending time with his wife and four children. They love hiking, barbequing, and any outdoor adventures.
Ryan Cook, PT, DPT
Ryan Cook brings a lifetime of interest to the field of physical therapy. Ryan uses evidence-based treatments to diagnose and care for individuals of all ages who have conditions that limit their ability to move and perform functional activities in their daily lives. She also works with individuals to prevent the loss of mobility before it occurs by developing fitness and wellness programs for healthier and more active lifestyles.In either treatment scenario, Ryan enjoys spending one on one time with each patient to create their own unique treatment plan. In addition, Ryan has advanced training in sports performance, orthopedics, and in the areas of functional movement and mechanical fault correction.
Ryan attended the University of North Dakota where she graduated with a Doctorate of Physical Therapy. During her time at UND, Ryan participated in cutting edge research including a study using NASA 3-dimensional technology to determine the impacts of bare-foot versus shod running. Prior to her doctoral training, Ryan earned her Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science from Black Hills State University where she played short-stop for the BHSU softball team.
Ryan is happy to be treating patients in her hometown of Rock Springs and is looking forward to giving back to the town that raised her. She credits her physical therapist mother, Michelle Cook, as the inspiration for her chosen career path. She grew up watching the positive impact her mom had on patients’ lives and plans to continue that legacy of hometown, quality, patient care. In her free time, Ryan enjoys softball, volleyball, biking, fishing, hiking, and spending time at the family cabin.
Jeff Alcorn, PT, DPT
Jeff was drawn to a career in physical therapy after seeing the need for skilled rehabilitation through his involvement in athletics and employment in a Physical Therapy Clinic during college.Jeff enjoys working with a wide array of patients including those recovering from sports injuries, surgery, and neurological conditions among others. He is passionate about working with patients to help them achieve their goals and return to their prior activities and hobbies, so they are able to live life to the fullest! Jeff has a special interest in sports medicine, manual therapy, and orthopedics, and hopes to continue to further his experience and education in these and other areas in the future. Jeff also completed his Level 2 certification in dry needling, a manual technique using small filiform needles to address secondary effects of neuromuscular conditions, tissues that can contribute to pain, headaches, or other disability, and aimed at further improving movement and function. Jeff is also a certified functional capacity evaluator, which allows him to evaluate individuals’ capacity to perform work activities related to his or her employment.
Jeff earned his Doctorate in Physical Therapy from the University of Nebraska Medical Center and his Bachelor of Science degree in Human Biology from Chadron State College. He played football, basketball, baseball, and ran track at Chadron High School, in Nebraska, and continued playing football and basketball at Chadron State.
Jeff moved to Wyoming with his wife, who is a Green River native. Jeff and his family continue to enjoy playing sports, doing various outdoor activities, attending sporting events, traveling, and raising their 3 little children.
Angelena Beltran, Physical Therapy Technician
Angelena is a key team member who works alongside our physical therapists to support patients during their treatment. She helps ensure each patient is comfortable and productive during their recovery. As a former PT patient and working previously in the healthcare field, Angelena understands the power of wellness and loves helping people improve their quality of life and seeing their faces light up when they reach a goal and are able to do something previously unable due to an injury.Angelena takes pride in helping individuals achieve their goals and help them overcome their physical limitations.
Angelena completed her secondary and college education in Sweetwater County. After earning her Associate degree at Western Wyoming Community College, Angelena entered the healthcare field in the hearing loss industry. She has ample patient care experience as a certified Audiometric Technician and has expanded her patience care knowledge into the world of physical therapy.
Outside of work, Angelena loves spending time with family, including her 4 nephews. She is proudly a true Wyoming girl who embraces camping, fishing, and four wheeling, and enjoys going to live country concerts.
Mersadee Odom, Physical Therapy Technician
As a physical therapy technician, Mersadee strives to help patients have the best experience at physical therapy. She takes pride in giving her full attention to patients and helping them understand the process of progressing through treatment. In addition, Mersadee is a team player who contributes to the flow of all clinic functions, from equipment maintenance and supply ordering to supporting our physical therapists with patient care.
Mersadee earned her Master Esthetician License and has always enjoyed helping people in any aspect of wellness and doing it correctly, no shortcuts. Her natural skills with customer service benefit the patients and our entire clinic team.
A native of Wyoming, Mersadee enjoys time exploring the wilderness with her family, along with fishing, hunting, and visiting her family cabin in the Wind River Mountains. When she is not outdoors, you will find Mersadee baking with her little girl.
Nikki Morris, Patient Care Coordinator
Nikki Morris is the administrative lead for the Rock Springs office and the welcoming, friendly face that greets patients and guests upon arrival. She works with patients to collect the necessary documentation, confirms insurance coverage and schedules their physical therapy appointments. She also plays an important role in working with community members and the medical professionals we serve to ensure communication between our clinics and their practices are effective and efficient. Watching patients progress and push themselves to new limits puts a smile on Nikki's face.
Nikki, originally from Michigan, moved to Arizona to attend Glendale Community College. She is currently working towards her associate degree and plans to pursue a career in physical therapy or athletic training.
Outside of work, Nikki loves snowboarding, biking, hiking and spending time with her husband.
